Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte are set to go head-to-head in an all-British clash for the WBC heavyweight championship – a fight which Fury has said will be his last.
The pair will meet at Wembley Stadium in April, with 100,000 fans expected to attend. Fury is riding high after a compelling win over Deontay Wilder last October, while Whyte is facing the biggest fight so far in his career.
Fury says he’ll retire after fighting Whyte, and that he has “nothing to prove to anybody”. But when is the Fury-Whyte fight taking place – and where can you watch it?
When is the Tyson Fury fight?
Defending champion Tyson Fury will fight heavyweight rival Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium on April 23rd. Whyte is the mandatory challenger for the WBC heavyweight belt, which Fury currently holds.
Tickets for the bout went on sale at 12pm today (March 2nd) via Ticketmaster, with prices starting at £55. However, demand for tickets is so intense that they’re expected to sell out rapidly.
Fury has accused Whyte of running scared, after the challenger failed to appear at the press conference to announce the date of the fight. “He’s definitely shown the white flag in my estimation,” the Manchester-born fighter said.
There has been much wrangling between the two fighters over the contract for the fight. Whyte is only getting 20 per cent of the fight purse and was reportedly seeking to renegotiate the terms before finally agreeing to the terms on offer last week.
Where can I watch Fury vs Whyte?
If you aren’t lucky enough to get yourself tickets to Wembley for Fury vs Whyte, then don’t worry – because full live coverage of the main event and its undercard will be available via BT Sport Box Office.
Coverage is expected to begin at around 7.30pm on April 23rd. You don’t need a BT Sport subscription to watch BT Sport Box Office, and monthly passes are available for £25.
